Further Grading Information
For a successful participation, a wrap-up of the lectures using additional literature and an active participation in the tutorials is suggested. Additional material and comprehension question are provided via the e-learning platform Moodle.
All courses of the winter term will be online. This lecture will be offered via a zoom-session. for in-class quizzes and problems, we will use the on-line voting system [b]PINGO [/b]([url=https://pingo.upb.de/]link to PINGO homepage here[/url]).
The lectures will be offered as recorded films via the moodle course.
[i]Exam[/i]
Passing the written two-hour exam is required for passing the course. Currently, the Texam date is known.
[i]Grade-point bonus[/i]
Successful submission of [i]preparatory[/i] homework problems qualify for a bonus up to 0.4 grade points. Homework and submission of questions does not replace passing the written exam.

Weekly problem tutorials are offered. Homework has to be submitted until next week's lecture (details in the tutorials). The home works will uploaded on the moodel page. Homework falls in two categories: home problems repeating last week's contents. Remaining problems will be discussed in the weekly tutorial sessions. Problems (and later also solutions) will be published in moodle.

[*]Visiting closed room and lecture halls with large number of participants may stimulate fatigue. We will adjust the ventilation system accordingly and ask you to open doors and (where available) windows during the breaks. To take environmental issues into consideration, excessive heat loss is to be avoided in heated rooms when venting.
[*]Be advised that mainaining a monotonous, restricted posture (sitting) should be avoided over extended periods of time. Please use the breaks for your personal mobilization.
[*]Also take care of an adaequate seating position when taking notes or when using electronic devices because in lecture halls the recommendations of the workplace guidelines may not be guaranteed.
[*]The lecture halls, in which lecture and recitation sessions will be held, are equipped with stairs. Please note possible tripping hazards.
[*]For the case of a possible evacuation (fire, smoke, threat, emergency situations, etc.), please inform yourself about the posted evacuation plans. Follow the signs to the emergency exits.

Diese Vorlesung hat die Inhalte Quantenmechanik, Statistische Physik und Thermodynamik. Wer noch nach der alten Studienordnung studiert, braucht die letzten 4 Wochen (Thermodynamik) nicht zu hören und wird darin nicht geprüft. Die Vorlesung wird sich zu den Themen Quantenmechanik und statistische Physik eng an das Lehrbuch "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics" von Griffiths anlehnen. Für die Thermodynamik wird das entsprechende Kapitel aus dem alten Theo-0-Skript zugrunde gelegt (und bereitgestellt).
