During the course of this seminar advanced theories and subjects from the field of "Science and Technology for Peace and Security" (PEASEC) will be developed. Based on the introduction and repetition of the principles in scientific research, contemporary project topics will be offered. Part of the seminar is also a peer-review process, where students will review each other’s work and will be able to make adjustments.

o Cyberwar: conflict in cyberspace concerning information warfare, fake news and social bots
o Terrorism and propaganda in social media

o Human-computer interaction for cyber peace and conflict and peacebuilding
o IT in the realm of political activism
o Containment of terrorist propaganda in social media
• Safety critical Human-Computer Interaction
o Usable-safety engineering in safety critical interactive systems
o Law, ethics and culture
o Operational information systems
o Crisis management systems and medical engineering
o Warning and assistant systems
o Social media
o Cooperation systems for crisis situations
o IT for voluntary work

Binding kick-off is the first session, the binding method date is the second. The assignment of topics and the formation of the working groups will be collaborative during the kickoff and possibly in the following week.
