Lehrinhalte
This module deals with conceptual linguistic differences between everyday and educational languages or BICS and CALP and their relation to teaching contexts, indicators for the identification of learner language(s).

This seminar focuses on basic teaching skills that future teachers need to master in a DaF/DaZ environment: Grammar and vocabulary teaching as well as the four language skills reading, listening, speaking and writing. The seminar first deals with the theoretical background of teaching and in a second step with a possible practical implementation in the classroom. One focus is also the language development of refugees in the school and non-school environment.

In the first part of each individual unit, the theoretical background is usually worked on together based on prepared texts/presentations and in the second part the methodical implementation for possible lessons is worked on in small groups. Ideally, the seminar will be multilingual.  Be prepared to be confronted with other languages than German or English. The aim of this is to put yourself in the position of a foreign language learner.
