Lehrinhalte
This course is designed to improve students’ understanding and use of general engineering terms with particular emphasis on oral communication. Students will practice how to simplify technical language so that engineering terms and processes are understandable for various audiences. We will work in a standard classroom setting as well as online. Face-to-face as well as online presentations will be held, enabling students to practice and recognize the differences here in presentation styles. In a technical context, students will also further develop reading and listening comprehension strategies. Writing skills will focus on e-mails, memos, note-taking as well as written summaries of meetings and presentations.
