Lehrinhalte
The lecture gives an overview of the approaches applied in Manufacturing Automation. First, the prerequisites of automation, but also the economic environment are presented. Next, the basics of handling technology, assembly technology and industrial robot technology are shown. Furthermore, by using the Reference Architectural Model Industrie 4.0 (RAMI 4.0), an introduction to industrial communication is given. Based on this, the communication models (ISO-OSI reference model), the bus systems/field buses used in Manufacturing Automation as well as the Industrial Ethernet are presented. In addition, there is a detailed introduction to the standardized communication and information model OPC UA in the context of Industry 4.0. The lecture is finally concluded with the chapter Application and Trends.
