Digitale Lehre
This course will be held as digital teaching in the summer semester 2021. Digital teaching starts at TU Darmstadt in week 15 (from 12.04.2021).

Digital teaching will take place on the weekdays and at the times specified in TUCaN. The room details for the individual dates in TUCaN, if available, represent the original attendance planning and are to be ignored at present.

The TU Darmstadt uses the video conferencing system ZOOM for digital teaching. You can test the technical requirements here: https://zoom.us/test .

You will receive the link for this teaching event with an email via TUCaN - it will then be carried out online and live.

Prerequisite for participation in digital teaching:
• You have registered as a participant in TUCaN.
• You use your first and last name when registering in ZOOM.

With a manageable number of participants, questions can be asked directly during the lecture. Switch on the microphone and ask your question. After asking your question, please switch the microphone back to mute. Disruptive or anonymous participants will be excluded from the current lecture.

The current presentation will be uploaded to moodle as a PDF file on the eve of the course at the latest. The course will be recorded by us. Our aim is to make the recording available to you. In case of technical problems with the transmission bandwidth of ZOOM, you can also watch the course again later.

One challenge is the required group work. Here we have to find new ways together.

Presumably, the final presentation of the task by the group will also take place via ZOOM. At the moment, it is also still unclear how we will proceed with the written test. We will start on 21.4.2021 at 13.30. Mr Weber will then first clarify the requirements for participation with you. Please read the requirements again.

If you cannot be present on this date, please notify Mr Weber, otherwise your place will be allocated elsewhere. Admitted students will receive a confirmation email after the introductory session asking you to register in TUCaN. The course is held as a seminar. In the first third, lectures by Prof. Dörsam, an introductory course “Patent Research” and a guest lecture by a patent lawyer are offered. The attendance is compulsory for these events. The dates will be announced in the first seminar session. In the second third of the semester, a seminar task is processed by four groups of five students. The task consists of current problems, for which a solution matrix should be created and patents should be assigned to them. In consultation with Prof. Dörsam, a qualified invention notification should be written for a “white box”. Parallel to the work on the seminar task, Prof. Dörsam will provide question hours.
