The Seminar starts with an overview of the recent development of response rates and nonreseponse in household surveys and surveys in the general population. We wil then discuss various methode that aim at a detection of potential bias due to nonresponse. We will discuss, for example, the concept of the R-indicator, paradata and classic methods to assess nonresponse bias. Subsequently we will discuss methods that aim at a reduction of nonresponse and nonresponse bias. Among others, we will discuss advanced letters, reminders, and incentives.
The seminar will be held weekly as a Zoom meeting.
