English is a must these days, at university as well as in most jobs. And we all have some knowledge of English, dont we? However, when it comes to actually using active English, a lot of students feel they need more practise. This course is designed for students who with to brush up on and improve their English and who are willing to spend a considerable amount of time, i.e. 4 SWS to do it.
We will concentrate on all four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking in the on-line part of the course, with additional homework and exercises on Moodle.

Material will be made available for a small fee
Voraussetzungen
You have reached between 15 and 29 points in the placement test.
You attend classes regularly once a week (90 min.).
You are either familiar with the learning platform Moodle or at least you have good general computer skills.
You are willing to learn English on your own and to use the learning platform, for 4-6 hours a week. This means doing exercises, reading texts, writing you own texts, expanding your vocabulary etc.
You are willing and able to work autonomously and also to communicate with your lecturer and your co-students in classes and via the learning platform, as appropriate.
