Lehrinhalte
We will begin the semester by briefly comparing research writing tradition(s) in the German and Anglo-American realm. After that, on a bi-weekly basis (see schedule below), we will examine the main components of the standard scientific research paper and work on individual assignments (Moodle) pertaining to these. You will also learn how to write an abstract, become more familiar with using outside sources with APA style and engage in oral and written tasks focusing on academic as well as STEM vocabulary. At the end of the semester, you will submit a short research paper on a STEM-related topic.
