The goal of this course is to practice, improve and strengthen your oral and written language skills for use in an academic context. You will learn to react appropriately in written and oral language during role plays. This will allow you to broaden your vocabulary and practice expressing yourself orally. You will also become familiar with intercultural differences in written text production as you compare and contrast various texts. By the end of the course you will be able to apply strategies to produce texts suited to various contexts and thereby discover and express your own individual writing and speaking style.
Course Requirements: Produce a written text portfolio; initiate and lead an oral debate on a specific topic.
