Digital Teaching
The course will be digital in SoSe 2021. It will start on 22.04.2022. Podcasts will be put online every Thursday.
For exam preparation  we will set up online question hours by appointment. The exam will be a 30min oral exam at the end of the semester.
All lecture material is in English. Additionally, the slides are avaiable in German.

compressible Flows: stream filament theory, shock waves, Prandtl-Meyer
expansions, gas dynamic equations, airfoil theory, lifting-line theory,
compressible boundary layers

Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to compute the compressible flow field around airfoils,
wings and fuselages, including the main aerodynamic coefficients (forces
and moments). If necessary the influence of the boundary layer can be taken
into consideration. The method of characteristics will be familiar as a
tool for computing more complex geometries
