Dieser Kurs richtet sich an alle Studierenden, die zum ersten Mal im Sommersemester eine Tutor*innen-Tätigkeit am Institut für Materialwissenschaft ausüben. Er setzt sich aus folgenden Elementen zusammen:

1. Basisworkshop Fachtutor*innen-Qualifizierung (4-4,5h)
- Aufgaben und Grenzen eines Fachtutors bzw. einer Fachtutorin
- Rolle und Haltung eines Fachtutors bzw. einer Fachtutorin
- Vorbereitung auf die Zielgruppe
- Gestaltung von (online) Übungsstunden
- Umgang mit schwierigen Situationen
- Prinzip der minimalen Hilfe
- Entwicklung eines eigenen Stils als Tutor bzw. Tutorin
- Simulation von Übungsstunden

2. Peer-Hospitation mit Einführungsveranstaltung (1-2h)
- Ziele und Zweck von Hospitationen
- Ablauf einer Hospitation
- Beobachtungskriterien
- Konstruktives Feedback
- Feedbackgespräch
- Simulation

Danach Durchführung und Dokumentation der Hospitationen in Zweier-Teams.

3. Teilnahme an 2 Tutor*innentreffen im Laufe des Semesters
Die Reflexion des Tutor*inneneinsatzes bietet in Form eines Begleittreffens die Möglichkeit,
sich gemeinsam mit anderen Tutor*innen zu Anliegen und problematischen Situationen aus der
eigenen tutoriellen Lehrtätigkeit auszutauschen. Die Reflexion des Tutor*inneneinsatzes
orientiert sich am Modell der kollegialen Beratung. Das Modell ist ein bewährtes
lösungsorientiertes Verfahren im Rahmen des pädagogischen Professionalisierungsprozesses.
Die Anwendung des Modells erfolgt jedoch auch in anderen Kontexten, so wird das Modell
der kollegialen Beratung auch im Bereich der Fach- und Führungskräfteentwicklung eingesetzt.

Sie erhalten 2 CP im nicht-naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich.

This course is for all students who work the first time as a student assistant to supervise labs or excercises at the materials science institute. It contains the following parts:

1. Basic workshop tutor qualification (4-4,5h)
- Tasks and limits as a tutor
- Role and attitude as a tutor
- preperation for the target group
- Design of (online) sessions
- Handling of difficult situations
- Principle of minimal aid
- Development of a personal style as a tutor
- simulation of sessions

2. Peer-Hospitation with introduction (1-2h)
- Aim and purpose of hospitations
- hospitation procedure
- Observation criteria
- Constructive feedback
- Feedback discussion
- Simulation

Afterwards, conduction of hospitation in teams of two.

3. Participation at two tutor meetings during semester
The reflexion of the tutor's work in a support meeting offers the opportunity to exchange experiences and problematic situations
together with other tutors. This reflexion orientates on the Model of collegial counselling. It is an approved solution-orientated tool
in professional pedagogical work. It is also widely used in other contexts such as professional and management development.

You gain 2 CP in the not material science related electives.

Voraussetzungen
Erstmalige Tutorentätigkeit am Institut für Materialwissenschaft für Übungen/Praktika.

First-time tutoring at the instute for material science for exercises or labs.

Zusätzliche Informationen
Der Basis-Workshop am 13.10. wird speziell für MaWis angeboten. Sollte eine Teilnahme hier nicht möglich sein, kann am zentralen HDA-Workshop am 21.10., 9:00-13:30, teilgenommen werden. Wenden Sie sich hierzu bitte an den Dozenten.

The Basic Workshop taking place on October 13th is an offer particularly for MatSci tutors. If you cannot participate on this date, it is possible to join the open workshop from the Center for Education Development and Technology (Hochschuldidaktische Arbeitsstelle, HDA) on October 21st, 9a.m.-1:30p.m. Please contact the instructor if this is relevant for you.
