Course Contents
Data acquisition and basics of spatial reference
Geodetic coordinate systems (position and height), measurement systems, units and projections
Geodetic position and height calculations: 1st to 3rd main geodetic task, area and volume calculations
Data quality (analysis of the calculation chain with variance propagation)
Metrology: Geometric levelling, trigonometric height transfer, recording and surveying of spatial objects with modern measuring methods: tachymetry, GPS, laser scanning
Introduction to photogrammetry and remote sensing, drone based surveying
Evaluation, analysis and presentation of spatial data with geographic information systems (GIS)
Basics of GIS: definition, properties, structure, applications, types and areas of use
Properties and characteristics of spatial data: Geometric, topological; vector & raster, basic geodata (ATKIS, ALKIS, TK, DTK etc.)
Data acquisition with and for GIS: primary and secondary acquisition methods
Data management and introduction to geo-databases (Geo-DB)
Analysis of spatial data in a GIS: spatial and attributive analysesPresentation and representation of (geo)data in a GIS
