[*]fundamentals of thermal separation (phase equilibrium and systems, vapour pressure, solubility, change of state)
[*]principles, calculations and applications of thermal separation (evaporation, crystallization, destillation, rectification, adsorbtion, absorbtion, drying, extraction)

[b]Mechanical process engineering:[/b]
[list]
[*]fundamentals (charterisation of dispersions, particle characteristics, flow conditions, measurement methods)
[*]principles and applications of unit operations (mixing, separation, agglomeration and crushing)
[/list]

On successful completiotion of this module, students should be able to:

[*]Understand and classify process engineering issues, evaluate different solutins, explain in an objective and unsterstandable way, take and explain decisions
