Lehrinhalte
Nowadays new materials are used as load bearing elements. With the usage
of glass or certain plastics extremely transparent buildings are possible.
At the same time the material properties, like the brittleness of glass
or the creeping of plastics, have to satisfy the reliability requirements
of load bearing elements.
The course should enable the participants to choose the appropriate material,
design usual constructions, plan experiments and use probabilistic reliability
concepts.
