Official Course Description
Composition is a multi-facetted term - we speak of English compostion, pictorial and musical compostion, and since "composition" refers to the putting together of things, there is composition also in engineering and architecture. The lecture series reflects on these practices with two guest-lecturers per event - it offers an exploration of composition and its significance from the point of philosophy of technology, aesthetics and epistemology, and perhaps even social philosophy. Some of the lectures and discussions will be in English.
