Lehrinhalte
The lecture will give an overview of Terahertz applications, sources and detectors with the focus on semiconductor-based devices and Terahertz systems. Terahertz detection and generation will be discussed in detail for two types of highly important devices: Schottky diodes (mixers, multi-pliers and rectifiers) and photomixers (photo-diode based and photoconductive). The exercise, where performance parameters of the discussed devices will be derived for experimentally relevant cases, will help to deepen the understanding.
The last day will be used for a lab tour showing our measurements facilities and hands-on experiments.
