Official Course Description
The introductory lecture is obligatory for all first-year students of BA Political Science, Joint BA Political Science, and Master of Education Politics and Economics. A proseminar and a tutorial will be offered to accompany the lecture.
The lecture provides an overview of the topics, issues, theories, and methods of Political Science. It also introduces the history and development of the discipline and offers insight into possible career opportunities. The lecture is partly held in the form of a lecture series, in that the Darmstadt professors present the subfields of Political Science so that in the course of the lecture you will also get to know the professors working at the institute.
