Course Contents
Surveys are a key source of information about societies, consumers and citizens for academia, businesses, and governments. Over the course of the past decades, it has become considerably more difficult to achieve high response rates in surveys and has become a serious threat to data quality in surveys. This seminar deals with well-established and recently developed methodological tools to reduce nonresponse bias while boosting response rates. Initially, participants will be introduced to the problem of unit nonresponse. In the main part of the seminar, participants will present their own research concerning specific tools and methods for survey researchers aiming at a reduction of nonresponse.
