Course Contents
This course introduces students to important planning problems related to production planning and supply chain management they may have to deal with in their professional life. For the considered problems, the lecture introduces mathematical models that enable users to solve the problems in a structured way. The agenda of the course is as follows:

Introduction

Material requirements planning (deterministic and stochastic material requirements planning)

Planning the production program (considering a single and multiple constraint(s))

Lot sizing (EPQ model, Economic Lot Scheduling Problem, dynamic lot sizing)

Supply chain management (Joint Economic Lot Size model, discounts as incentive mechanisms)
