Digital Teaching
We will provide additional materials, such as exercise sheets with solutions, via the moodle course room.

Course Contents
The course deals with strategic and tactical decision problems that arise in production and logistics. The focus of the course is, among others, on the determination of production capacities, the determination of optimal facility locations and the design of supply chains. As decision problems in these areas are often associated with high investments, supporting the investment decisions with planning models may improve the cost position of the company significantly. The course discusses quantitative planning models that support the decision problems mentioned above. Special attention is also paid to the role human workers play in production and logistics by discussing methods for measuring and reducing workload.
