Official Course Description
The course consists of a lecture, into which two practical sessions (3 hours each) have been integrated, which should enable the students to apply the theoretically learned contents also practically in hand experiments in our teaching laboratory. To participate in the laboratory experiments, students must register for "Practical Chemistry II in the Teaching Laboratory of the IWAR Institute" (13-K1-0024-pr).

First, students are familiarized with the basics of analytical investigations. For this purpose, the individual steps of a chemical composite procedure are presented, from problem definition and sampling to evaluation and assessment. The topics "gravimetry", "volumetry"," photometry"," spectroscopy" and "chromatography" are the subject of the lecture.

In the practical experiments, different rapid tests and laboratory methods for the parameters pH, nitrate-N and ammonium-N are performed and compared. With the results of the performed experiments an error analysis and estimation of the measurement uncertainty are carried out.
