Course Contents
This lecture is focused on the characteristics of the load carrying behaviour,
the dimensioning and the constructional details of bridges in steel and
steel-concrete-composite construction. Emphasis is put on the choice of
suitable load bearing systems, checks for the ultimate limit state and
the serviceability limit state and the fatigue-safe construction of steel
bridges. Additionally, the manufacturing and mounting methods as well as
the supports are treated.
