Course Contents
In the optional module façade technology Il, the materials used in façade constructions and the building physics in relation to the building envelope are explained. An understanding of the material-related constructive dependencies is developed and knowledge of the usual material-specific system solutions is imparted. The state of the art is presented and areas in which research potential exists are discussed.
In addition to teaching theory on facades and materials, the focus of the course is on practical application, which is reflected by the semester planning project the students shall work on in teams. For the first time, the module includes an international workshop in which the students are asked to plan a climate-positive façade construction together with students from other international universities.
