This intermediate-level BA seminar provides an in-depth examination of the comparative politics of Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, with a specific focus on EU member states from the CEE region, as a necessary step in better understanding and integrating these societies into the greater European Union discussion framework. Through a combination of readings, multimedia resources, and interactive discussions, students will critically analyze and engage with key topics, theories, and case studies related to the politics of CEE countries. The block seminar aims to foster deep understanding, critical thinking, and lively exchanges among participants. The course itself is non-dogmatic and aims to create a setting for conversation from participants, where people of distinct opinions can come together and share the stage.
