[b]ENKO DESIGN[/b]
ATELIER
HOUSE
The design of a studio house for a group of artists on Darmstadt's Mathildenhöhe and the accompanying lecture are intended to convey the interaction between the detail and the whole.
Rooms for living, working and exhibiting with their own atmospheres are to be conceived for a wide variety of artists that meet their specific requirements and together form a coherent spatial structure.
From the triad - type, topos, tectonics - the specificity of the location, the functional requirements and the logic of the construction, an original form is to be developed that is more than just form. Beyond the spatial disposition and the materialisation, an understanding of constructive joints is to be taught and enabled to realise architectural intentions. The design is deepened in the processing and the construction is detailed up to the extension to a scale of 1:1.
