Digital Teaching
The course Virtuelle Produktentwicklung A: CAD-Systeme und CAx-Prozessketten (ViP-A) will be held in hybrid form in WiSe 22/23. The lecture will be digitally transmitted and supplemented by additional digital materials such as demonstrations and exercises.
The online teaching will start in week 43 (from 24.10.2022) and will take place on the weekdays and times specified in the schedule (see TUCaN). The available room details for the individual dates in TUCaN represent the attendance planning.
The technical access to the lecture material takes place via Moodle. Here you will also find the link to the online broadcast before the lecture. You will then receive all further information via Moodle.
Course Contents
The topic of these series of lectures is the function of information technology systems in the product development process. The course is oriented towards the idea of process chains used to describe the progress of product development (e.g. product development, rapid prototyping, phases of product design, manufacturing planning). The basis for this approach is the concept of the integrated product model and the various methods of internally describing products in computers.
Furthermore, the course explains various computer-aided techniques of technical and commercial information technology which are used during the product life-cycle.
The learning goals are:
- Comprehension of integrated product data models.
- Knowledge of computer-aided methods for conception, design, optimization, representation, manufacturing preparation and the documentation of products.
- Understanding of the modular design of information technology systems used in product data technology.
- Knowledge of the interaction between information technology systems within the process chains.
