Due to the change from an energy system based on fossil fuels to regenerative energy sources, new possibilities arise for different energy converters in mobile applications. Depending on the primary energy source, different systems are available, which will be explained and discussed during the lecture. The advantages and disadvantages of the different systems will be explained, especially under the aspect of environmental compatibility. The requirements for the future infrastructure are also addressed. In addition to the current solutions or those currently under development, future paths will also be discussed.
