Digital Teaching
The seminar is dedicated to an intensive reading of the two "Faust" dramas, whose period of origin covers a wide spectrum within Goethe's oeuvre. We want to examine the two plays, which appear so different from each other, as specific adaptations of the Faust material and, in doing so, test the tools of literary and drama theory. One focus of our historical and systematic analyses will be on the different aspects of modernization in "Faust".
