Course Contents
Selected technologies and processes of industrial wastewater treatment in practical use, application areas / limits and boundary conditions: Membrane processes (e.g. reverse osmosis / nanofiltration), adsorption (e.g. activated carbon, zeolite, isotherms), oxidation processes (e.g. Fenton's oxidation), precipitation/flocculation (e.g. neutralisation precipitation, heavy metal elimination, demulsification)
On successful completion of this module, you should be able to:

measure, plan, design, operate and maintain treatment plants and processes taking into account technical, economic and ecological aspects

weigh different solutions, explain them objectively and comprehensibly, make justified decisions,

present the results of their work in a suitable form,

independently deal with subject-specific problems according to scientific principles.
Preconditions
Recommended:
13-K2-0005-vu Industrial wastewater treatment, 13-K2-0009 Lab course water chemistry
Further Grading Information
Assessment methods:

oral exam, duration: 30 Min.

Study achievement passed / not passed (Type will be announced at lecture start, mostly lab report)
