Digital Teaching
The lecture for the course "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics and Spectroscopy" will be held in presence. It is supplemented with recordings of the previous lectures (in German) as well as the lecture slides and further information. These are provided via Moodle.
Course Contents
Introduction into quantum mechanics, structure of molecules, interaction of light and matter, several spectroscopic methods (rotational sp., vibrational-rotational sp., electronical sp., X-ray sp., electronic spin resonance, magnetic resonance sp.).
Literature
Script of the lecture
J.M. Hollas, Modern Spectroscopy (Wiley & Sons)
G. Wedler, Lehrbuch der Physikalischen Chemie (VCH)
Preconditions
Fundamental knowledge of physics from the lecture "Physics for Mechanical Engineers" (Physik für Maschinenbauer) and an interest in quantum physics are sufficient.
Expected Number of Participants
25
