Course Contents
This course focuses on the mastery of Anglo-American argumentative essay format (introduction-body-conclusion) as preparation for writing longer research papers. The latter half of the course will cover the standard structure of English-language Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral theses. Students will be writing and critiquing their own essays, as well as classmates essays (i.e. peer review) for clarity, logical argumentation and organization. Vocabulary and grammar will be covered as needed.
Students will be required to write two essays during the term.

Photocopies will be available for a small fee

A score of at least 70 on the placement test
