Digital Teaching
It is not possible to attend the practical laboratory course as part of digital teaching.

Course Contents
As part of the practical laboratory course, students learn about a wide range of issues relating to bio-materials in a practical engineering context. This is done by means of selected experiments in the laboratory and technical center, in which various manual skills are also to be learned. The laboratory exercises are also intended to teach safe and hazard-free behavior in the laboratory, workshop and technical center and practice-oriented teamwork. There are also various measurement, characterization and calculation tasks.

The laboratory practical course takes place in the rooms of various departments of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. These are located both on the Stadtmitte campus and on the Lichtwiese campus. Students must register for the various groups in moodle before carrying out the laboratory exercises.

The laboratory practical course only takes place in the summer semester.

The laboratory practical course consists of lectures, laboratory exercises and a final colloquium. Attendance is compulsory for the laboratory exercises and the final colloquium. Please inform the supervisors and other group members if you are unable to attend. The laboratory practical will be graded as passed if the portfolio is completed and attendance is at least 75%. The required portfolio will be explained in the lecture and described in moodle.
