Lehrinhalte
The lecture ties in with the basic theoretical concepts and experimental methods to investigate and understand the properties and structure of nuclei as introduced in the Bachelor nuclear-physics course. We discuss current research objectives and state-of-the-art experimental methods aiming at a fundamental understanding of nuclear systems. In particular, we focus on physics programs pursued by the various groups in the nuclear-physics institute. This includes physics of exotic nuclei and related experimental approaches at radioactive-beam facilities worldwide.

The following topics will be covered:
- Mass measurements
- Matter and charge radii
- Nuclear deformation
- Shell structure and nuclear spectroscopy
- Radioactive-ion beam production
- Halos and neutron skins

Literatur
Will be given in the lecture.
