Course Contents
Biochemical basis of biobased materials composition; interactions of cells and biomaterials in 2D and 3D; biomaterials and hydrogels for tissue engineering; classification, composition and selection of biomaterials for hard and soft tissue engineering; characterization methods of biomaterials and hydrogels (rheological, mechanical and biological characterization); tissue engineering in bioreactors; static and dynamic cultivation of cells in culture dishes and different bioreactors; mechanobiological aspects of tissue engineering.
Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the fibre composition of paper, fundamental properties of paper, fundamental propierties of fibre suspensions, strength testing (dry and wet), influence of humidity/moisture on paper, stress-strain-behaviour, optical properties, testing by laboratory simulation.
