Digital Teaching
A highly symbolic location in the centre of Frankfurt am Main: the Hessischer Rundfunk site is about to undergo a fundamental transformation. The current facilities will be consolidated and partially relocated to make way for a new urban quarter. Living, working, studying and leisure are the main modules of the design. The existing buildings will be integrated into the concept as much as possible. The HR broadcasting centre, originally planned as the seat of the Bundestag in the late 1940s as part of Frankfurt's ambitions to become the capital of Western Germany, plays a central role in the design.
The current challenges with regard to ecological, climatic and social issues are to be given special consideration in the work.
