This course introduces the specialized linguistic aspects of technical communication. It begins by analyzing the linguistic characteristics of technical languages, focusing on technical vocabulary and linguistic structures. Technical communication is practiced through role-play and simulations. The course also examines and practices the specifics of presenting technical texts in writing. We will use a project-oriented approach to accommodate the various technical backgrounds of the course participants. In addition to working on text types relevant to technical language, emphasis is placed on mastering various presentation formats (e.g., short presentations, lectures, etc.) and producing technical language texts.
