Digital Teaching
Course Contents:
This course provides a detailed introduction to the use of computer-based methods in studying discourse, which refers to the organisation and use of language in social, political, and cultural contexts. By combining ideas from computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, and discourse studies, the course helps students understand both the theory behind language use and the practical skills needed to analyse it.
Students will learn how to utilise data and technology to examine how language shapes, reflects, and influences the stories and discussions that impact our society.
