Course Contents
First course phase: school-oriented laboratory practice with the focus on 1. miniaturised experiments (e.g. HMTC, Luer lock systems) on selected topics (e.g. alkanes, alkanols, natural and coloured substances), 2. inquiry-based learning, 3. safety in experimentation, 4. reflection on learning arrangements with a focus on a) competence orientation, b) diversity, c) digitalisation, d) education for sustainable development. Second course phase: Contextualisation and visualisation of a school experiment in the studio for cut-out animation of the didactics of chemistry.

Literature
Script, safety instructions/internship regulations/hazardous material documentation

Preconditions
General Chemistry (B.AL1), Organic Chemistry I (B.OC1) and Basic Practical Organic Chemistry (B.GOC1)

Official Course Description
The students test and optimise, taking safety aspects into account, miniaturised school experiments with different techniques (e.g. HMTC, Luer-Lock system). They evaluate these according to subject-specific and subject-didactic quality criteria. They assign selected contents to the basic concepts for teaching. In the studio for cut-out animation of the didactics of chemistry, they visualise contexts and design materials in a structured and appealing way.

Risk Assessment
Attention no participation in case of suspected pregnancy, pregnancy or when a child is breastfeeding! Please contact your responsible study office.
