Course Contents
In this module, you will gain practical experience in the methodical development of technical products. Together with your project team, you will independently design and realise a development project in which you will apply and consolidate various established product development methods.
As part of the project, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the following technical areas and apply it in practice:
- 3D printing and CAD: using CAD software to design components which are then physically realised using 3D printing techniques.
- Electronics development and circuit board design: Design and manufacture electronic circuits and circuit boards for the integration of electrical components.
- Sensor technology: Various sensors are used to record relevant environmental parameters and provide data for system control.
- Actuators: Actuators, often motor-based, are used to realise specific movements and functions within the project.
- Microcontroller programming: Sensors and actuators are integrated by programming microcontrollers to develop automated and intelligent system controls.
This module offers you the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context while developing important teamwork and project management skills.

Further Grading Information
Theoretical basics are taught in the parallel Proseminar ETiT Option SAE.
