To understand how understanding works, one must observe the act of reading. Therefore, the seminar will focus on reception analysis as a key part of hermeneutics. Eye-tracking will be used as an empirical approach to study reading behaviour. At the beginning we will get acquainted with the basics together. Afterwards you will form working groups to develop and conduct an experiment independently. You will use the LitLab, where you will be instructed by a tutor.
