The coures introduces ultimate load design of steel structures. Plastic
design of cross sections, including M-V-interaction is presented. This
leads to plastic hinge theory.
The deflection method using second order theory is explained and connected
to the plastic hinge theory. This leads to the plastic hinge theory regarding
the deflections (2nd order plastic hinge theory).
