Digital Teaching
The course will take the form of an[b] "inverted classroom"[/b]: students study the[b] lecture material[/b] independently [b]at home[/b] and afterwards, they meet with the lecturers [b]at the university[/b] to do [b]exercises [/b]to apply their knowledge on practical examples.

[*]It is currently planned that the [b]exercises [/b]take place as [b]physical events[/b]. Should the Corona-situation change, access data to zoom-meetings will be made available on moodle.

All information, changes and materials for the lecture and exercise can be found in the Moodle course "Infrastructure Planning" (for "13-B2-J006-se Economic Assessment Methods" and "13-B2-J007-se System of Infrastructure"), which will be activated shortly before the lecture begins and to which all participants of the course "13-B2-J006-se Economic Assessment Methods" are automatically added.
Moodle also serves as a communication platform. There, students can communicate directly with each other and with the lecturers about content-specific or organisational aspects. For further questions, consultation hours can be arranged with the lecturers.
Lehrinhalte
The module consists of the lecture Sytem of Infrastructure and Economic Assessment Methods.
With a focus on valuation methods, the course Economic Assessment Mothods provides students with the basics and the application of common economic evaluation methods that are needed for decision-makers of large infrastructure projects. Next to financial mathematical principles, the most used economical valuation methods as cost-benefit-analysis, value-benefit analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis will be presented in the lecture. The students also get to know property value and international methods of valuation like the asset value method, the discounted Cash flow and the residual value method. Next to these points, also economic valuation methods for environmental assets are content of the course. The course imparts basic knowledge of infrastructure project management and takes a look at application methods of agile management that are useful for construction projects.

Literature and slides will be provided via Moodle. By registering for the exercise on TUCaN you are automatically also enrolled in the Moodle course.

Nachhaltigkeitsbezug der Veranstaltungsinhalte
In large-scale construction projects in the field of infrastructure planning, sustainable implementation is becoming increasingly important. The course will look at methods that also include ecological factors and thus have a significant influence on the benefit-cost analysis of projects.
