The course is based on a book which is very compact (so needs a lot of explanations...):
David Chandler, Introduction to Modern Statistical Mechanics, Oxford University Press 1987. 978-0-19-504277-1, ~90€. The library should have a few copies for the quick.
An excellent longer text is (as supporting information and for true aficionados of Stat Mech...):
